Limber

core_stretchThe Limber project, supervised by Derek Reilly from the UbiComp Lab at Dalhousie University, is an ‘exergame’ (exercise game) that looks of modifying behaviour in a workplace setting–this is done by getting people to remember to stretch every so often. The project, a deliverable for the GRAND NCE, was a collaboration effort between Dalhousie University and OCAD University. The work produced by OCAD University researcher Harjot Bal includes quick and dirty development of an app for a mobile device that would instruct users to engage in stretches and an ambient orb, a calm ambient technology which was to be kept in the periphery of the user at all times–used to gently cue users to stretch.
